Authorised Sales Channels
RWC 2011 tickets may be purchased legitimately through the above authorised sales channels only.
A number of entities are offering Rugby World Cup 2011 tickets and ticket-inclusive packages for sale without authorisation to do so. Rugby World Cup Limited would like to emphasise to all Rugby supporters that they should only purchase tickets or ticket inclusive packages from the following official ticket sales channels to ensure they receive genuine and valid tickets:
- Individual tickets can be purchased from Rugby New Zealand 2011 Limited (the Tournament Organisers) from Friday September 10 2010. See www.rugbyworldcup.com/tickets
for details.
- Official travel packages (including match tickets) can be purchased from one of the appointed Official Travel Agents, details of which are available at
www.rth2011.com.
- Official hospitality packages (including match tickets) can be purchased from one of the appointed Official Corporate Hospitality Agents,
details of which are available at www.rth2011.com.
Supporters purchasing tickets or ticket-inclusive packages from unofficial sources run the risk of tickets not arriving, receiving counterfeit tickets or having
their tickets cancelled (and being refused entry to or evicted from match venues).
RWC 2011 tickets are non-transferable except as set out in the RWC 2011 Ticket General Terms & Conditions
RWC 2011 tickets cannot be transferred or used in relation to any promotional or commercial purpose (including any competition, advertising, promotion, auction or as a prize in any competition or sweepstake, whether for a business, charity or otherwise) or to enhance the demand for any goods or services. Nor can tickets be transferred, used or incorporated as part any hospitality or travel package or bundled with any goods or services (including as part of any hospitality or travel package). Please see the RWC 2011 Ticket General Terms & Conditions for full details.
Please note that any ticket(s) offered for sale, sold or transferred in contravention of the RWC 2011 Ticket General Terms & Conditions may be cancelled, and any person seeking to use those tickets may be refused admission to or evicted from a venue without refund or compensation.
RWC 2011 is declared as a “major event” under the New Zealand Major Events Management Act 2007 (MEMA). Please be aware that the unauthorised sale or trade of a RWC 2011 ticket for a value greater than the original sale price of that ticket is an offence under the MEMA punishable at law by a serious fine.
